About the Event
The Dogwood Cattails Ball is scheduled for March 14, 2020. You and your furry family member(s) are invited to attend a fun filled evening of dining and dancing while supporting a worthwhile cause. One highlight of the evening is the Vera Wag Fashion Show for the furbabies, a perfect chance for your furry fashionista to strut their stuff on the catwalk.
What to Expect
Wondering what to wear? This is a black tie creative event. What’s that mean? Anything goes, short dresses, long dresses. This years theme, Barc Antony and Cleocatra, will be a gold studded colorful event. Get those costumes ready. The formal evening starts at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome from our very entertaining emcees and the four course dinner being served, but you will want to arrive early (6:00 p.m.) for Yappy Hour and take advantage of our signature themed welcome drink.
Auction
Are you a shopper? Do you have a bit of competitiveness? Sounds like an auction would be just what you are looking for…. How about two auctions, silent and live. Retailers, restaurants, and individuals all step up and donate some fantastic items for our auctions. There are a wide variety of items in the silent auction and some real “wows” in the live auction. Come ready to bid.
Awards
One of the serious notes of the evening comes when we honor individuals, both two legged and four legged, for going above and beyond in their support of our organization, the community and welfare of others. You will want to be present to see who is honored with The Outstanding Animal Award and The Pam Roe Humane Hero Award.
